What a fantastic time I've had. I haven't got time to write it all down here, but let me assure you that the Trek America tour was probably the best two weeks that I've had away in a long time. The sights and sounds in the National Parks are stunning.
Out of the whole two weeks the highlights of the trip for me was a 14 mile walk up to Glacier Point and then along Panoramic trail to the waterfalls. There, after a paddle at the top of Vernon fall, was a grueling 3 mile walk back down to the base in Curry Village, Yosemite.
With over 900 pictures taken (including the wedding and New York) I'm going to sort them out a little before I put them up here!
Can I say thank you to our leader, the wonderful Jessica - what a star. She made the trip fun and really showed us the sights!
Also a big thank you to my fellow trekkers, Monica, Ennino, Liisa, Emma, Duncan and Sarah. See you all around - look out for your emails!
Now I'm back I need to get some planning done for school - can't believe that the summer holidays are nearly over and I've not even throught about school! How good is that!
I'm now touring the USA for the next 3 weeks with my wife. First we're camping / hiking / canoeing in some of the National Parks - Mount Rainier, Yellowstone, Grand Teton and Yosemite. Following that we're stopping off at New York for a wedding of a friend. Very exciting stuff. Did you know that it's going to take longer to fly over America to Seattle than it does to Fly to New York from Manchester?
Enjoy the rest of the summer weather.
